What is this?

The nervous system is an incredibly complex network of nerve cells and supporting tissue that enables communication between the brain and other parts of the body. It helps transmit and interpret information from the outside world, such as touch, sight, and sound, as well as provides coordination and regulation of the body's internal activities. It is made up of two main components: the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS). The CNS consists mainly of the brain, spinal cord, and retina, while the PNS includes cranial and spinal nerves as well as ganglia. Together, these two components are responsible for the body's ability to gather, process, and respond to external and internal sensory stimuli.
